In a world that demands more than we can sometimes give, Who Took My Spoons is a sanctuary for those living with chronic illness.
Here, we honor the reality of limited energy–the missing spoons–while also daring to seek beauty, meaning, and joy in what remains.
Here, we don’t pretend the spoons aren’t missing. We search for them — and for the life that blooms because we must choose where we spend those spoons so carefully.
This is not a place of toxic positivity; nor is it a place of despair. Rather, Who Took My Spoons is a gentle investigation into living beautifully with chronic illness, an exploration of the path of resilience. It’s a journey where each small act of self-kindness becomes a stepping stone toward reclaiming life, one day at a time.
Your spoons are precious. Here, we learn how to manage them wisely, creatively, and with fierce gentleness.
Small steps. Wise curation.
Courageous hope.
Founded by Maren Lark (a pen name), a fellow “Spoon Detective,” whose committed to learning where our spoons mysteriously disappear to. This project explores spoon management, mindful curation, and finding unexpected joy after loss.
I built this space to offer a lantern for the path — a place for real, honest encouragement as we learn to manage limited energy, nurture small joys, and find our way back to wonder — even as we try to figure out where all our spoons have gone.
That said, I have found it works best when I focus on the wins, rather than the struggles, so you won’t hear me mention my medical path or discomfort.
Just know: I know. And you are not alone.
Trust in life; there is still magic ahead.
Together, may each of us grow strong in our roles as Keeper of the Spoons.
So it is, I invite you to join the search; may you find not only where the spoons have gone, but the hope and joy that accompany a well-curated, spoon managed life.
